Artist's Comments

These days it looks like we have fallen on some pretty hard times. Will our hardships soon call for desperate measures?

Thank you for all of your comment, they are very much appreciated. As I have gotten a few request to make prints for the particular piece available, I will be submitting a higher quality image soon to make that possible.

Daily DeviationBird of the future by ~bolduke A delicately rendered pencil piece whose message is quite powerful and quite tongue in cheek. (Featured by ^oilsoaked)

I like the idea, it's funny but also with a serious thought behind it.

And the drawing is perfect :)

Beautiful but haunting. I love it.

Yeah definitely a little of both. That's kind of the feel I was going for. I think it was important to capture the beauty of nature, and then scare everyone a little bit by bluntly showing how we are putting it a stake.

I also like how you've taken such a delicate creature, and made it seem like it's had to go through a war. Having learnt to defend itself from us?
Lovely concept.

Thanks. :D
This is so touching, and so sadly true. I live in the city and I always think how birds must feel surrounded by so much noise and contamination... in such an alien environment. Anyway, I particularly like the sharpness of this drawing.
Very impressive work - I don't think words alone can express how I can relate to this image.

BTW, guess that the image can do a little cropping, the bottom edge where a black line is seen can be trimmed. :)
